So perhaps a little more unusual, in that what’s happening with the current Steven is as, if not more interesting, as the story that’s being narrated. The narrated story tells of the TARDIS arriving in Leicester in 1762. With it being quite warm, the Doctor takes off his coat and throws to back into the TARDIS inadvertently locking the crew out. The Tactics Of Defeat                                         The Companion Chronicles 12.4                   Ruth Matheson is in the jungle, heading towards an temple with only a recording of Zoe Herriot to guide her. I don’t do my research, and having finished my current play list for the month early I brought this up to fill the gap. The companion chronicles make a nice rest between boxsets. I did wonder if I’d missed something - whether this carried on from something else. I do believe what happened to Charlie Sato is explained in a short trip, a usually they’re together. Dumb Waiter                                 Doctor Who: The Companion Chronicles 12.2/The Second Doctor 2.2                    With Mother Earth apparently over and done with, the ISPF have their hands full. On one hand Devis investigates coffins that don’t seem to house people that actually existed. While Nathan and Kenzy pay a visit to the only residential building on the moon where a burglar has died… With Priya if off on a course and Paul taking a little bit of a back seat, it does put the original Star Cops members to the front. It is nice to have Kenzy back and this time a proper star cop again.  This starts with a scene from toward the end of the episode, and your given the events that led up to it. Upstairs                         Doctor Who The Companion Chronicles 8.3                         The Doctor , Vicky and Steven arrive in the attic rooms of a house in London. Peter Purves and Maureen O’Brien star in this story, with Vicky narrating. You get the idea of this very quickly, The Doctor manages to see out of a skylight to se the familiar markings of London, sometime in the  18th century give or take. As they venture through the rooms they realise that there’s no exit, just endless rooms. Its the kind of set up I really like, just enough mystery, a little reminiscent of part 1 of the space museum . What adds to the intrigue is that they realise that the rooms are the same but in different timezones, and the fact that, if they can’t find their way back to the TARDIS they may die there.  There’s also a fungus that’s a concern.
