The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles: Volume 3: Geronimo! 


Part 1: The Inheritance


A research base in the future and something is causing many deaths. When the Eleventh Doctor arrives needing a tool to defuse a bomb, he meets, Valerie. The two are charged with finding a cure of whatever it is thats killing people.


I listened to Spirit of The Season at Christmas, as I like to enjoy a festive audio or two at that time of year. My first foray into post Tenant audios. I’d never really been interested in actors being replaced when the current one are still alive, but I wanted something new. I was pleasantly surprised, Jacob Dudman does a very Matt Smith, as with others who have stepped into another actors shoes, its very good, not quite the same but close enough.


Its not a bad jumping one point, Spirit of the Season had a few things I wasn’t aware of, in this audio he meet Valerie for the first time. So you don’t fees you’ve missed anything.


Without giving too much away, their money is infected with a blight, meaning the more you have the quicker you’ll die. Spend, Spend, Spend is the solution. Unfortunately when people die they leave wills.


On the whole I found it entertaining, I was interested in the plot and wanted to keep listening. There are a couple of twists, thought isn’t massively original, its a nice adventure.



Valerie, again, I liked, it’ll be interesting to hear more of her. There were reference to Clara Oswin Oswald, so it places into the Eleventh’s timeline.

Power Game  Doctor Who the Monthly Range 248b Kamelion has been missing for three weeks, its York, the 1980’s and that’s just the beginning. This hits the ground running, but not only has Kamelion gone but now they’ve lost Tegan as well. Tegan herself finds she’s on a TV gameshow, how she got there is a bit of a mystery as she no idea how shearrived. The show pops up at various times on different channels in the middle of other programs. It’s a good start, no faffing about and with this a two parter that’s probably a good idea. The Tv show gives contestants challenges, when they fail they’re out, interestingly enough there are no prizes, and the contestants soon forget about their real lives.  It’ll be no surprise that the gameshow isn’t real and is a veneer for what’s really going on. The Quest of the Engineer                                     The Fourth Doctor Adventures 9.4                                               On a planet that reconfigures it surface, the Doctor, Romana, Adric and K9 are seeking info on a CVE. They encounter the ‘Engineer’ who is also interested in CVE’s, though there is more to him and the planet than at first seems. I had to check that I had started with part one, as it begins with Adic having been arrested for taking K9 though the streets where technology is forbidden. They meet Rigis Tel played by George Layton (perhaps more noted in DW circles as being the Space pirates) and go on to find the truth about the planet.
